Your tasks

Management & Organisation

  • Overall responsibility for the development department at the Radolfzell site
  • Ensuring efficient structures, clear processes and smooth workflows
  • Planning and prioritising projects in line with company objectives
  • Establishing and further developing a high-performing, forward-looking organisation
  • Management & Staff Development
  • Technical and managerial management of a dedicated development team
  • Supporting, coaching and providing targeted development for staff
  • Creating a culture of collaboration, personal responsibility and a commitment to excellence
  • Exemplifying a cooperative and appreciative leadership style

Project & Process Management

  • Responsibility for the planning, management and implementation of development projects
  • Ensuring results are delivered on time and to a high standard
  • Continuous optimisation of processes and interfaces
  • Leading and participating in cross-functional projects

Understanding of the market and trends

  • Monitoring and analysing market, consumer and technology trends
  • Identifying and implementing relevant innovation strategies
  • A keen sense of market needs in the food service or retail sectors

Cooperation and liaison

  • Close collaboration with Production, Quality Assurance, Purchasing, Marketing and Sales
  • Advising internal stakeholders on development-related issues
  • Promoting constructive cross-functional collaboration

What you bring with you

  • Several years’ management experience in product development – preferably in the food service or retail sectors
  • Proven experience in project management and process control
  • A degree in food technology, process engineering, food science or a comparable discipline
  • Strong leadership skills, including coaching ability and talent development
  • Strong assertiveness and perseverance, combined with a collaborative leadership style
  • Strategic, structured and solution-oriented thinking
  • Fluency in German and English
