Your tasks

  • Definition, optimization and monitoring of efficient customs processes
  • Supervision and implementation of customs audits as well as central contact person for customs authorities
  • Coordination of all foreign trade-related projects within the entire Hügli Group (focus: CH-EU)
  • Mediation of complex regulatory requirements, incl. training and guidance of employees
  • Interdisciplinary cooperation with specialist departments (purchasing, logistics, sales and external partners)
  • Solution-oriented and proactive approach, incl. Training and guidance of employees
  • Interdisciplinary cooperation with specialist departments (purchasing, logistics, sales) and external partners
  • Solution-oriented and proactive approach to identifying and overcoming challenges
  • Independent and autonomous processing of the assigned areas of responsibility

What you bring with you

  • Completed training as a foreign trade specialist or comparable qualification (e.g. degree in customs, logistics)
  • In-depth professional experience in customs, ideally in the food industry
  • In-depth knowledge of customs regulations and laws in Switzerland and the EU
  • Experience in import and export processes, classification of goods (HS codes), processing traffic, non-customs regulations (NZE), etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of preference calculation as well as preferential and non-preferential origin
  • Good understanding of IT-supported processes, SAP knowledge is an advantage
  • Knowledge of export control and compliance
  • Experience in working with customs authorities, declarants and logistics service providers (including customs formalities and Incoterms)
  • Very good knowledge of German and English, other languages an advantage
