Responsibility, leadership and collaboration. 🚀 As Procurement Country Lead for Switzerland, you will have line management responsibility for the local procurement team and will support their professional and personal development. In doing so, you will combine operational excellence with strategic supplier management, working closely with Production, Supply Chain, Finance and Management, and you will form part of the local site management team.

Your tasks

  • You will be responsible for defined product groups within direct materials (particularly raw materials) and, alongside your leadership role, will remain actively involved in operational and strategic Purchasing
  • You will organise and manage local and group-wide tenders, negotiate contracts and conclude framework agreements in close coordination with the Group’s Category Cluster Leads
  • You will ensure high data quality and transparency in Purchasing (SAP/MM)
  • You will manage local Purchasing using clear KPIs (e.g. savings, contract coverage, supplier performance, data quality) and derive specific improvement measures from these
  • You report directly to the Head of Procurement and play an active role in group-wide reviews, projects and initiatives
  • You identify opportunities for optimisation and efficiency gains and implement these together with your team and relevant stakeholders
  • Depending on the project, you will play an active role in local and international initiatives (e.g. process or system projects)

What you bring with you

  • You have a university degree (e.g. in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or Agricultural Sciences) or have completed a commercial apprenticeship with relevant professional experience in Purchasing
  • You have several years’ experience in operational and/or strategic Purchasing, ideally in the food industry or a regulated manufacturing environment
  • You are a recognised expert in Purchasing and would like to develop your Management skills
  • Initial experience in coordinating colleagues, project teams or external partners would be an advantage
  • You have a good understanding of quality, certification and regulatory requirements (e.g. IFS, food law) or the motivation to familiarise yourself with these topics
  • You work in a structured and analytical manner, make well-informed decisions and maintain a clear overview even in complex situations
  • You have very good knowledge of SAP MM, are confident using MS Office and are familiar with procurement key performance indicators
  • You communicate clearly, professionally and on an equal footing – both internally and externally – and feel at ease in an international environment
  • You have a very good command of German and English
