Your tasks
- Overall responsibility for the technical infrastructure and for ensuring a high level of plant availability at the slaughterhouse
- Technical and personnel management, as well as the further development of the maintenance team, including deployment, resource and absence planning
- Ensuring the reliable operation of all technical systems through maintenance, servicing and the rapid and sustainable resolution of faults
- Carrying out and monitoring technical inspections, particularly in the areas of health and safety, operational safety and statutory requirements
- Active shared responsibility for reducing downtime and stoppages through preventive maintenance strategies and continuous optimisation
- Ensuring the procurement and availability of spare parts
- Coordinating and supervising external partners, suppliers and fitters, including planning and monitoring work carried out by third parties
- Ensuring clean, complete and traceable documentation of all maintenance work, as well as the maintenance and management of our maintenance system
- Actively supporting and contributing to technical projects, as well as to modifications, expansions and optimisations of plant and infrastructure to further the technical development of the business
- Depending on your profile, experience and personal development, there is also the opportunity to act as deputy to the Head of Plant Maintenance and thus take on additional responsibility at divisional level.
What you bring with you
- Completed basic technical training, supplemented by further advanced training in the field of maintenance
- Several years’ management and professional experience in a comparable role, preferably in an industrial production environment or in the food industry
- Experience in managing technical projects, as well as in handling investments and continuous improvement processes
- Strong organisational and analytics skills combined with an entrepreneurial and business-minded approach
- Strong decision-making and assertiveness, as well as a solution-oriented, structured and resilient approach to work
- No sensitivity to blood or strong odours
- Proficiency in maintenance and ERP systems; SAP would be an advantage
- Fluent command of German and a good command of English
