Your tasks

  • Further development and ongoing updating of the sustainability strategy, taking into account regulatory and economic requirements
  • Translating strategic goals into concrete, realisable measures for the specialist departments
  • Actively monitoring legislative changes, standards and regulatory developments in the sustainability environment
  • Technical monitoring and support of sustainability-related projects, e.g. energy and water efficiency, waste management or reduction of food losses
  • Liaising and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders (customers, partners, authorities, certification bodies)
  • Organisation, preparation and support of sustainability and customer audits
  • Collaboration in the preparation of the sustainability report and processing of customer enquiries, ratings and platforms (e.g. SMETA/SEDEX)
  • Representing the Hilcona Group at specialist events, panels and conferences
  • Central contact person for all sustainability issues within the company

What you bring with you

  • Degree in the field of food/agricultural sciences or sound professional experience in the field of food production or processing
  • Additional qualification in Sustainability, Environmental Management or comparable
  • Several years of experience in sustainability issues is an advantage, ideally in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Experience in implementing cross-divisional projects and dealing with different interests
  • Structured personality with the ability to realistically prioritise Sustainability and reconcile ecological goals with economic framework conditions
  • Solution- and impact-orientated approach with a focus on feasibility and long-term benefits
  • Independent working style and assertiveness with a sure instinct
  • Strong communication skills, ability to work in a team and a confident, convincing demeanour
