Your tasks
- Managing and ensuring the technical availability of the automation systems at the Oensingen site
- Providing first- and second-level support, including fault analysis and troubleshooting
- Managing and further developing the higher-level server systems within the automation and Operational Technology (OT) environment (HMI, PLC, SCADA, PLS, Data Historian, MES, WMS)
- Acting as an interface between users, IT, engineering and suppliers
- Implementing and supporting automation projects (e.g. optimisation, customisation, expansion, modernisation) on plant and systems
- Integration and configuration of new plant, systems and components into the Bell Group’s infrastructure
- Providing support during commissioning and offering production support for highly complex plant
- Providing technical support to the various maintenance and project teams
- Monitoring of systems, management of backups and support for disaster recovery
What you bring with you
- Completed technical training, preferably following prior training as an electrician, electronics technician, automation technician or IT specialist
- Professional experience in the programming and commissioning of PLCs and visualisation systems, such as Siemens S7 (Step 7 Classic / TIA Portal) and WinCC, as well as in fieldbus systems such as ProfiNet, etc.
- Experience with IT systems (Windows client, server, networks)
- Experience in implementing and coordinating automation projects
- No sensitivity to blood, cold or strong odours
- Willingness to work irregular hours (on-call and weekend work)
- Very good written and spoken German and good written and spoken English
