As part of the new construction at the Oensingen site, we are looking for you as Head of Technology. In this key position, you will assume overall responsibility for the technical area and make a significant contribution to the successful construction, operation and continuous development of the new production facilities. Together with internal and external partners, you will ensure safe, efficient and sustainable operations.

Your tasks

  • Management, deployment planning and further development of technical staff
  • Ensuring smooth technical operations, including troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Responsibility for personnel and on-call planning
  • Planning, managing and implementing technical projects (new construction & operation)
  • Organisation and coordination of external suppliers, fitters and service providers
  • Responsibility for budget, investments and repairs in the technical area
  • Ensuring compliance with legal requirements, occupational safety and hygiene
  • Acceptance of systems, deliveries and technical trades
  • Responsibility for data quality, maintenance orders and system management
  • Representing Technology at internal and external meetings and on specialist committees

What you bring with you

  • Completed technical vocational training (e.g. mechanic, polymechanic, electrician) with advanced training (e.g. engineer HF/FH)
  • Several years of professional and management experience in a comparable technical function
  • Sound knowledge of operational maintenance and automation
  • Experience in the management and implementation of technical projects (ideally new construction/commissioning)
  • Industry knowledge in the food industry, pharmaceuticals or a comparable environment is an advantage
  • Understanding of business administration and experience in budget and investment management
  • Good IT user skills (MS Office, SAP an advantage)
  • Very good written and spoken German, knowledge of English and/or French an advantage
  • Strong leadership personality with assertiveness and networked thinking
  • High resilience, flexibility and willingness to provide additional services during the construction and commissioning phase
